Friday was a true Florida day, sunny, warm and not a cloud in the sky with the temperature around 75 F. A few chores in the AM. I met up with the Ron and Don Tanner, the Melbourne Beach bikers on Main Street Daytona. What a time getting to the area and finding parking. The traffic is insane with all the motorcycles in town, 90% being Harley Davidsons. The noise is deafening. I met the boys in front of Dirty Harry's. Big John another Melbourne Beach Biker showed up and we watched the wet T-Shirt contest. The MC solicits 5 girls from the audience and three guys who each pay $50 each to pour ice water over the girls. The money is used for prizes, $100 for first and $50 for the second place finisher. The winners are voted for by the crowd. While this event is going on they are throwing promotional material into the crowd. Ron scooped a T-Shirt. In keeping with the bike traditions we each bought Daytona 2009 Bike Week T-Shirts. After returning to the Condo we enjoyed a lovely dinner with Brother John.
